David B. Perkins, CAIA
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Perkins is responsible for creating and implementing the strategic vision of the firm. As a member of the senior leadership team, Mr. Perkins ensures that growth and resources align with the firm's strategic initiatives. In addition to his executive responsibilities, Mr. Perkins serves as a member of the investment committees for several Hatteras Funds. Prior to founding Hatteras Funds, Mr. Perkins was a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CapFinancial Partners, LLC, where his primary responsibilities included oversight and direction of the investment consulting process including strategic and tactical asset allocation and investment manager search and selection with a particular emphasis on alternative investment strategies. Mr. Perkins has more than two decades of experience in investment management consulting and institutional and private client relations and offers proven experience building, operating, and leading client-focused businesses. Mr. Perkins received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has also earned his designation as a Chartered Alternatives Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Robert L. Worthington, CFA
President

Mr. Worthington is responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of Portfolio Management and Risk Management, including investment products, personnel, and joint venture partner relationships. Through his investment management experience, his strong relationships in the investment advisor community, and his understanding of alternative investment structuring, Mr. Worthington will also drive new product development and management. Additionally, Mr. Worthington serves as a member on the investment committee for several Hatteras funds. Prior to joining Hatteras, Mr. Worthington was a Managing Director at JPMorgan Asset Management in the Firm's Institutional Advisory business. Mr. Worthington joined JPMorgan Asset Management in 2004 after its purchase of Undiscovered Managers, LLC, where he had been President from 2001 and a Managing Director for the three years prior. From 1993-1998, Mr. Worthington was a Principal and Senior Vice President of the Burridge Group, LLC. From 1983 -1993, Mr. Worthington held various corporate finance positions with Mellon Bank, Nikko Securities, Bankers Trust, and Westpac Banking. He received his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Pittsburgh and his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Worthington has also earned his designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

J. Michael Fields, CAIA
Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Fields manages a team directly responsible for client service, fund accounting, compliance, and integration as well as SEC and Board level communications. Mr. Fields is the liaison between Hatteras and all service providers related to the operations of the Hatteras Funds complex. Prior to joining Hatteras, Mr. Fields was employed by an institutional consulting firm, where his primary responsibilities included the implementation of the investment consulting process to high net worth clients, including strategic and tactical asset allocation and investment manager due diligence with a particular emphasis on alternative investment strategies. Previously, Mr. Fields was employed by Morgan Stanley in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Fields received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Central Florida. Mr. Fields has also earned his designation as a Chartered Alternatives Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Lance Baker, CFA, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Baker is responsible for all financial and accounting functions of the Hatteras operating entities. In addition, Mr. Baker serves as the Treasurer for the Hatteras registered fund of funds products, where he oversees and supports the relationships between Hatteras and its administrator, auditor, and tax service provider. Prior to joining Hatteras, Mr. Baker was the Controller and Vice President of Fund Administration and Portfolio Accounting at Smith Breeden Associates, in Chapel Hill, NC. Prior to joining Smith Breeden, Mr. Baker worked in public accounting for BDO Seidman in Greensboro, NC. Mr. Baker received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Accounting degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Baker has also earned his designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) within the State of North Carolina.

Robert B. Brown
Director of Sales & Marketing

Mr. Brown is responsible for managing the firm's sales and distribution initiatives, marketing efforts, and national account relationships. Prior to his current role, Mr. Brown has held various positions within the firm, including regional sales, sales management, national accounts, and marketing management. Before joining Hatteras Funds in 2004, Mr. Brown was Vice President of Alternative Strategies at Highland Associates, where he performed alternative investment strategy research, alternative investment manager search and due diligence, and client education. He was also an Associate at Galway Partners, a Washington, D.C.-based merchant banking firm with a special focus on mezzanine and venture finance. Mr. Brown has more than a decade of alternative investment industry experience. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University and his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in management and entrepreneurship from the University of Florida.

Jack Estes
Director of Institutional Sales

Mr. Estes has had an extensive and successful career in the institutional asset management business, especially in the hedge fund space. Previous to joining Hatteras Funds, he served as Managing Director and Head of U.S. and Canadian Business Development with Cadogan Management, LLC in NYC, where he developed institutional client models and managed extensive marketing channels to greatly expand business assets for the firm. Prior to Cadogan, Mr. Estes worked as Managing Director with major business development channels for two key asset management firms in NYC. These firms included David J. Greene & Company and Cowen & Company, where he developed a business management model to build assets from $200 million to $5 billion. Mr. Estes has also served as a strategic member of the Russell Mellon Advisory Board in NYC. Mr. Estes received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota.

Nicole L. Parker
Director of National Accounts

Ms. Parker is the Director of National Accounts and is responsible for identifying, creating, and managing the firm's national accounts relationships. Nicole has been with the firm since its inception in late 2003. She has fifteen years of investment industry experience, most recently serving as the Regional Director for the central region of the United States and prior to that, served as a Director of Marketing for an institutional investment consulting firm. Prior to that, Nicole held various roles for investment management firms including State Street, Davis Funds, and Thornburg Investment Management. Nicole received her Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Finance and Marketing from Boston College and attended the Anderson School of Business at the University of New Mexico for her Master of Business Administration degree.
